Ever see one of those bumper stickers that says, "Always late, but worth the wait?" If native plant seeds could drive cars, those stick-ers would be on them. Oh, they may require a bit of patience, with germination taking any-where from 30 to 90 days, but once their green shoots finally do arrive, you'll be glad you stuck around to greet them....

Weed seeds can remain dormant in soils for years until the proper environment is created for them to thrive. Preparation of the soil is the common culprit for your weed infestation. Tilling under the soil, while creating a nice seed bed also brings dormant, buried weed seeds to the surface....
