Nebraska Permitting Process Goes Digital

Since switching to a web-based application process in November 2015, the Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality (NDEQ) has approved at least 100 online applications for stormwater construction general permits.

The digital permitting process appears to be much more efficient than the old system. Under the previous regimen of paperwork, it would take two weeks or more for an application to be processed and approved. Most online applications are approved in a day.
